Shows in Vegas tend to pack a real punch to the senses.

There’s an array of magic shows, dance shows, concerts and of course, Cirque du Soleil. Cirque du Soleil has taken the Vegas strip by storm.

The show is titled “O,” as a wordplay on the french word for water, “eau.” It features Cirque du Soleil’s world renown acrobatics, dancing, and gymnastics, but with water. The story is about a boy taken on a mesmerizing journey through a mysterious aquatic world. The boy and the audience return from the aquatic dreamland at the end of the show.

The pool featured in the show holds 1.5 million gallons of water, but is equipped with breathing apparatuses so the performers can stay underwater. It also has a built-in communication system so performers can hear their sound cues – amazing! The theatre is also designed to keep a cooler air temperature for the audience and warmer air temperature on stage so the performers can stay at a comfortable temperature while wet. Live music is played throughout the entire show, and musicians perform from glass enclosures around the theatre to make sure their instruments stay dry.

Now you can just sit back and watch the entire thing unfold and stay dry throughout the whole thing.

Oh…unless you’re in rows A-C. That’s considered the splash zone.
