How to be a high roller on a low budget in Vegas

Vegas is extravagant. It’s bedazzled, lit-up, and sparkly. But all of that comes with a price tag, right? Not necessarily.

We have some tricks up our sleeve on how to be a high roller on a low budget in Vegas and we’ve made a list on how to do it.

1. Reverse Happy Hour
Everybody’s gotta eat right? In Vegas, that includes all of the performers that finish late and are starving from their shift. Usually, performers finish around 10-10:30pm, so restaurants open up with a ‘Reverse Happy Hour’ that starts just after 10pm (or 11pm depending on the place). Food and drinks start as low as $3. It’s meant for the performers, but restaurants open it up to anybody.

2. Don’t Rent a Car
Pro-tip: cabs and Uber exist.
The entire Vegas strip is just under 7km long, and the airport is only 10 minutes away from it. Even if you want to venture out a little further to do some off roading or see the Hoover Dam, there are shuttles that are available to do so. If you really want to look like a high roller and a cab just won’t cut it, you could always use UberSelect or UberBLACK, where you’ll get picked up in an Audi, BMW, and the like in luxury vehicles. Split the cost and you’re good to go.

3. Choose your casinos wisely
Different casinos have different degrees of spending. If you play a $50 hand in Blackjack at the Bellagio, chances are you’re not going to get noticed. However, there are some casino’s made for young people on a limited budget, like O’Sheas. Play the same $50 hand at this Irish casino/pub and you’re likely to get comped big time.

4. Ask for Free Stuff
Sometimes you don’t think it could be that easy, but in a place like Vegas, you really never know. Get to know some club promoters that are handing out flyers, or even ask the front desk people at the hotel you’re staying at. Build a good relationship and make them your friends. It’s worth a shot!

5. Buy an Exodus All Access Pass
Last but definitely not least, buy an Exodus All Access Pass. You might think we’re biased, but really – this is one of the easiest ways to do Vegas the right way on a budget. One all access pass grants you access to every single Exodus event over the weekend (there are 15 of them!). 15 events at the hottest clubs, for under $200 the entire weekend. We also have a travel portal that has exclusive hotel deals with our partner hotels, like The Cosmopolitan, and Aria just to name a few. Or, you can take a pick from our full travel packages that include hotel, flights, and your all access pass as well. Score? I think so.
